Biography
Carl Bigmore grew up in the UK and graduated with a Masters in Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication.
He is intrigued by the ways in which we perceive landscape and create meaning through layers of history and mythology, and how through narrative we can reimagine our understanding and relationship to the environment.
As a photographer he has been published and exhibited internationally. His project ‘Between Two Mysteries’ was shortlisted for the European Publishers Award for Photography. This year he was granted the Royal Photographic Society’s Environmental Bursary and was awarded The Graduate Photographers Award in association with Magnum Photos.
